Michael Vanguard

Introduction

It was clear the boy would be trouble from birth.

Born in Skullstone, Michael was shortly irritated by the massive social structure around him. The heavy weight of law, the clouds of custom over the mind, an ubiquitous religion based on fealty to some long-dead idiot, and eventually, notice of the harm it did to others, all sharpened his hatred of the system- of the idea of system- to a fine point. He rebelled, he raged, he made trouble for the sake of it, and adolesence certainly didn't help any.

They didn't bother to kill him directly. At fifteen, he was trussed up and thrown to the bottom of the sea, wiggling and raging and vowing revenge through the gag all the way down. He kicked a shark in the nose and tried to swim with mild success.

Luna was terribly amused, and so he flew the rest of the way to the far shore, to plot vengeance.

The local Silver Pact is a bit divided on him: he is admittedly very good at breaking things that need to rebuilt, and has learned to some degree or another to rebuild. On the other hand, he's entirely obsessed and kind of creepy, so they tend not to give him responsibility over anything (or anyone) they like too much. Luckily, it's not like Lunars have that much of a system to begin with outside of "keep this kid from being killed by the Hunt, fight the Fae when they're around, politic with each other if you feel like it".

Since the Silver Prince returned openly, he's been stepping up the pace on his revenge, trying to find some "in" to the system. As usual, his efforts have been frustrated, as has he. Not long ago, while scouting, he suddenly had the notion to make his plans open- why not just scream at people with all the Essence you can muster until they listen to reason about how horrible the damned place is? Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time; Limit Breaks tend to. He did manage to get a nice bit of havoc going, and got very lucky being run out of town with relatively minor wounds- everything grew back eventually.

His plans destroyed, and with little idea of what to do, he set out for the other side of Creation, hoping that perhaps he could find refuge with his sifu- or at least an idea- if he could find him- perhaps in Sijan..?

Descriptions and Elaborations

Quote

Names: Michael, the White Crow, Wings-Light-Fires
Age: 215 or so. Somehow.
Basic Description:
Personality:
Origin:

Curse: Bird Rattles the Cage (Valor Flaw). Ignited with ecstatic devotion, the Lunar leaps headfirst into whatever it is that needs to be fixed and starts to hammer at it, literally or metaphorically, with whatever tools come first to hand. He gives no regard to his own safety, nor for the morality or efficacy of said tactics, until he has done what he came for, been driven off by force, or lapsed into unconsciousness. Partial control allows the Lunar to concern himself with only the tactics that logic states will not undermine his actual goal and do not endanger his loved ones or other Intimacies.
Trigger: The Lunar is faced with a rigid bureaucracy or corrupt system and is unable to do anything to undermine it.
