Kairos was once the son of scholars and thamaturges, who lived in the city of Ameraille, the city of scholars and thamaturges towards the eastern edge of the Scavenger Lands. He was good at scholarship and subtleties, at finding things and secrets out that others had a hard time locating and perhaps he would have been someone someday, carrying on the family legacy, except when tragedy happened in the form of the Ashen Maiden, the Solar necromancer who had once been a patrician princess of the Dynasty, who led her army of zombies to the peaceful city and annihilated it.

And Kairos was unable to protect anyone. He couldn't protect his family, nor the girl he loved, and in the end, he failed even to die to join them, when a demon whispered promises of power to him, the power for if not revenge, to give him something, a purpose. But in that alone he didn't fail.

He said no. And said no again. And said no again. And in his defiance even at the face of death, he did something right, for he Exalted as a Twilight Caste. Thankfully for him, because said demon tried to eat him.

Kairos is quite slim, slightly built, and is not very tall, though he isn't exactly short, either, with dusky skin, girlish, pretty features (but he's still unmistakeably a young man, just a pretty one) and long dark hair, which he usually wears braided,in either a single braid or several smaller ones.
