Magic Runes are all runes that are not True Runes. They were formed from fragments of True Runes as they fell unto creation.

Runes allow humans to manipulate the forces of the world; in other words, do magic. In the Suikoden World, Runes are the only way for humans to do this. There are several types of Runes though; while some grant direct and conscious magical power, other runes enhance physical abilities, or let the user use special moves or abilities.

Some Magic Runes are very common, there being more than one of the same specimen; the elemental runes are particularly common. Other runes are very rare, while others are one of a kind.
