Put on any energy blocking shield, then have an Iron Golem attack you. It will be ground damage. Put on a ground damage blocking shield, then have an Iron Golem attack you. It will be Energy Damage. Put on a shield that blocks both energy and earth dasmage, and he will hit you for 0 fire damage (even when you have 0% fire resist).
