The evasive stat does nothing for some strange reason... and the blind status does nothing either. Vanish, however, is an exception. It makes the target completely invulnerable to any physical attacks at the cost of making them very vulnerable to any magic. The most famous example is vanish, xzone/break/doom - basically 100% evade 0% mblock and a damage bonus thrown in for any magical attacks that strike an invisible person. This trick works on bosses.
