  • Guitars: 1983 Fender Telecaster (main guitar; cream w/ chrome pickguard and Seymour Duncan Hot Lead Stack STK-T2B in the bridge; borrowed from a St. Ann's Arts staff member in 1999 and returned to the staff member the night of Buckley's public memorial on August 1, 1997), Rickenbacker 360/12 sunburst (other main guitar), Gibson Les Paul Custom Black Beauty, green Ibanez Talman, black Hagström I, black Music Man Silhouette, Guild acoustic, Gibson Robert Johnson L-1 acoustic, Dobro guitar
  • Amps: biamped into Fender Vibroverbs and Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier combos, two Mesa 4x12 cabinets
  • Other: Dean Markley Blue Steel strings (electrics), Dean Markley brass strings (acoustics), tortoise picks
  • Other instruments: Jeff Buckley also played harmonium, organ, mandolin, dulcimer, tabla, esraj, harmonica, and a bowed Indian sitar (which he seems to have toured with).

Michael Tighe

  • Guitars: Fender Telecaster, cream Fender Jaguar, Yamaha FG-470S acoustic, flower-painted Bentley Series 10 Telecaster
  • Amps: biamped into Fender Vibroverbs and Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier combos, two Mesa 4x12 cabinets

Although drum kits apparently varied quite a bit, he was at one point using:
