The Basics
Name: Thraeza
Type: Lunar
Caste/Aspect: Waning Moon
Concept: ReCreated
Spirit Shape: Dragonfly
Tell: Mandibles in her mouth, jewel-faceted left eye
Motivation: Find eternal love and happiness.
Description
Thraeza is somewhat short, coming at about 5'4, and has a lean, but muscled frame - a dancer's frame. Slightly generous breasts and hips soften her athletic belly, arms, and legs. Silver hair that once flew long has been cut down to a chin-length, concealing bowl. Her left eye is a lovely green, etched like facets of a gem as part of her Tell. Another slight hint are the multi-jointed mandibles that peer out of her mouth as she eats or if she is startled.
The changes she's been subjected to are plain on her flesh, however. Lines like tattoos of circuity adorn her body, points where the soulsteel has woven into her with a disturbing elegance. Her right eye looks almost normal, until the pupil shifts and alters shape as its settings correct themselves. Her collarbone and neckline are covered by a pectoral panel of starmetal and moonsilver, but underneath is an ice-cold, silent heart.
Thraeza often bundles up, wearing a military jacket, skirt, and pants all together. Over this, a winter coat with a five-buckled upraised collar covers her face up to her eyes, while a hood with the same five-buckle adornment covers her hair and forehead.
Background
Thraeza Bin'Ari grew up as a poor girl, on the verge of being a possession. In her Northeastern home, regional bickering had left entire communities destitute as fields lay fallow in the political crossfire. Desperate, her parents submitted her to a patron, an Air Aspect who taught her the fine art of dance in exchange for total obedience and servitude. These were harsh years, but Thraeza had always been a simple, obedient girl and put her whole heart into her work and her studies.
And in time, it paid off. Starving but striving, she caught the eye of her audiences and grew in demand. By the age of sixteen, she was one of the prized girls of the Air Aspect and whispers of her divine or Exalted nature had begun. This vexed her patroness to no end, to the point she was thrown out onto the snow-covered streets of winter to fend for herself. After nearly two weeks foraging and begging, she returned to her master's hall, begging for the chance to dance just once more to prove her dedication, barely able to stand. Her patroness allowed her to try as an object lesson in mortal limitations - imagine her chagrin when Luna herself kissed Thraeza on the brow, silvering her once-blonde hair and Exalting her.
Unknown to Thraeza, her predecessor did not pass unmourned. No one is certain exactly how Whispering Wind Huntress died, none but her Solar who refused to speak of it. When Thraeza was brought to him in introduction...he was less than impressed. He pushed her, tried to make her into the warrior and stalking thing of grace his lover once was - Thraeza disappointed his impossible standards, and so he pushed her harder. Her public appearances came less and less, until they finally stopped altogether. She was not seen again until the Usurpation's end.
When Dragon-Blooded troops first pried open the remote manse that her Solar Mate (she refuses or is unable to recall his name, and will not acknowledge it if pressed), they found strange tools for biomagitech and crafting strewn about, as well as deadly traps more akin to surgical tools than normal weapons...held in a painful, but beautiful pose, Thraeza was suspended as the altar point of the manse's hearth chamber. She had become an unrecognizable thing of a metal rarely seen in such an age - soulsteel.
Thraeza's recovery was only partial. The soulsteel implants were designed to cause excessive wounds in their removal, and with the significant neural replacements and her entire heart changed out for a monstrous machine, they did the best they could. For that, Thraeza is grateful. She joined the Night Sky Regime in thanks, but looks for peace rather than violence or revenge. More than anything, Thraeza just wants to feel as free as she once did, dancing on an empty stage.

Prosthetics of Clockwork Elegance
Traits
Significant Neural Reconstruction: Left, partial spinal reconstruction, partial brain matter - Essence sight (1m/minute), low-light vision, +1 to Perception
Replaced entire right arm - +1 Strength, embedded retractable razor claw
Replaced left hand - +1 Strength, embedded retractable razor claw
Description
Artfully designed, the unnatural nature of the prosthetics are revealed by tracings and circuit-lines in a simple, aesthetic pattern. These lines are burning cold to the touch and glossy-black however. Thraeza prefers a heavy coat to muffle the soft sighs the movement of her arms causes, which rises to an echo of a scream when her claws break skin and slide from her fingertips like scalpels. The entire arrangement is painful, but Thraeza has become accustomed to that. The low internal tempurature gives her a constant palllor and blue-green tinges to her lips and nails.
Cold-Blooded Hunter's Heart
Traits
+2 Strength
+2 Stamina
Thraeza feels pain, but her body will not lose function from even horrible wounds until she is Incapacited or killed.
The bearer may affect ghosts even while immaterial, and when dealing unarmed damage to a ghost bare-handed or with integrated soulsteel weaponry, may drink the ghost up, regaining 3 motes per level of lethal or aggravated damage dealt. A ghost killed in this manner is permanently destroyed, passing immediately onto Lethe. However, while any ghostly Essence remains within the heart, the bearer cannot fail Valor rolls for fear and cannot succeed at Compassion rolls, as dead in heart as a hungry ghost.
Commitment: 6 motes
Description
Resting just beneath Thraeza's skin-mount amulet, this silent heart is a disturbing marvel of the rare magical material known as soulsteel - one of the most ambitious uses of the material on record. Crafted illegally from the lingering soul of Thraeza's last incarnation, it keeps Thraeza both alive and afraid to exert her shapeshifting too far.

Hearthstone slot
Description
The panel over Thraeza's heart stores a hearthstone with open slotting at the center of her sternum. The panel can be lifted without disconnecting the stone. When locked into place, the moonsilver and starmetal panel looks more like an ornate pectoral than the terrible machinery it covers. Thraeza cherishes it dearly, as something she gladly allowed as part of her body.
Backing - Night Sky Regime
Owing a debt (both figurative and literal) to those who restored much of her body to a degree of normalcy, Thraeza support the Night Sky Regime in its endeavors to stop the Solar menace from causing more nightmares like her own. She does not like to associate with those who hate or resent Solars, however. It would be far, far too easy...and would bring her no closer to freedom or wholeness.
Manse - The (Former) Bower of Crimson Leaves and Evening Blossoms
Hearthstone
Stone of Entrance
Traits
Workshop Manse (Craft: Genesis) - The manse has all of the facilities necessary both for Thraeza's maintenance and for the modification of other beings.
Bound Servitor Force - The manse also possesses a number of animated branches and 'restraint' vines, all of which can thread and dig into living flesh both for Genesis projects and manse defense
Sympathetic Dream Network - While unable to escape the servitors in her weakened state, Thraeza was able to sense passersby through the 'eyes' of the roots...and even now tends to listen while resting.
Minimally Habitable - Aside from the work bowers, which suspend the subjects among the branches with sweet flower sedatives...there isn't anywhere really comfortable on the grounds, thick roots and reaching branches the only comforts within the woven-branch enclosure.
Description
Tucked away in the back of the old (now sealed and desecrated) palace of her Solar mate is a thick forest crafted together by the Solar and his previous lover. Its geomantic energies gave it the perfumed wonder of an evening stroll through Eastern moon-blossoms, even at the height of noon. Since her passing, the geomancy had been subtly altered, its functions modified to serve the mad Solar on his experimentation with his mate's successor. Now, walls of woven branches prevent unwanted entries and deadly tendrils act as both surgeon and soldier, once to keep Thraeza in, now to keep her functioning.
