Backstory

Drake's Fangs did not always go by his name. He was once a proud son of Lookshy, a soldier without peer, but with a life filled with dedication to the names of the Dragons. Every life he took was to protect his city, his family. He despaired when his prime years passed without being blessed by the Dragons, but he soon rose above it, knowing that even his meager actions contributed to the peace that the world enjoyed. His service in this life would surely grant him the means to further defend his home in his next life.

At first he thought he was being blessed, as he would've sworn he saw Tien Yu in battle alongside him, despite how woefully he was outnumbered. But after the carnage was that of terror. Being overtaken by the demon soul of an Anathema? How could this happen? Even though his new power had won the battle and saved his comrades, he took flight into the wilderness, trying to make sense of it all. Leaving blood-soaked armor behind he raced through the forest, "Better they think I perished than know the truth". He ran for days with his mind in a cloud, letting his horrifying instincts guide him.

It was like this, half-mad with grief and anger, that the Silver Pact found him. He fought back, intending to slay the demons that had come to tempt him with lies, but their numbers and experience proved superior. As he sunk into unconsciousness, he reflected that at least he had managed to draw blood from the largest one...

The man that he used to be awoke slowly, expecting torture and death to await him the moment his captors realized he was awake. He heard words being chanted, first by one voice and then another. Instead of the demonic words of power that he expected, he found that they spoke in his native tongue. Instead of vile oaths to gods of the Wyld, he heard stories of courage and stewardship, not just of a city but of the whole of Creation.

He accepted their teachings hesitantly, but with each passing trial and song he trusted the old Ana- no, he trusted the Lunar elders more and more. Finally he was given his tattoos, to ward against the madness of the Wyld. He abandoned his old name and life, as he was no longer the common soldier of Lookshy. He was the teeth of the Dragons themselves, set upon Creation's enemies in defense of all beings, whether from Lookshy or simple barbarian.

Tattooed as a Full Moon, the Frenzied he had heard tales of in his old life, he was taken under the mentor of the same Lunar who had "attacked" him when he was still ignorant of his new life. Whether by luck or through skill, he had managed to impress the old badger during their first meeting. During the years spent together, they learned quite a bit from each other. Striped Back taught him how to master his Essence and use his charms, as well as granting Drake the use of a spare artifact weapon. Drake himself brought to him tales of Lookshy and how the "demons of the Wyld" were seen, as well as what he knew of Lookshy battle tactics to bestow onto his barbarian followers.

Despite a successful foray into the Wyld to deal with rampaging raksha, he felt somewhat unfulfilled. This sense of longing was only exacerbated during the first meeting he attended. While his peers were suitably impressed with his accomplishments since his Exaltation - he certainly wasn't called a coward or layabout (at least to his face) - he had managed to overhear what the elders spoke of. Instead of grand tales of courage or skill, he heard nothing but bickering and hesitance. Even the General Staff managed to come to agreements, or at least compromises! But these elders argued over personal ideologies and theories, gambling Creation's future over personal feuds and rivalries.

Some time after the meet, he decided to strike out on his own from his mentor, bidding each other farewell. After journeying through the wilderness for some time, he encountered the first signs of the Wyld. He kept walking, deeper and deeper, long after his clothing had turned into smoke. Was that what he was to become, an old man that failed in his mission and could never accept it? He had heard a whisper of Lunars heading deep into the Wyld for vision quests, and hoped that he could learn how to avoid that fate. In a sea of chaos, he prayed and meditated, fighting off beasts made of porcelain wielding weapons of dreams when needed. For a full month he spent his time there, trying to find an answer.

When pressed he'll admit that yes, his quest was successful. Specifics have proven difficult to get through normal, polite means, since no one wants to try prying into the mind of something like him. But his mentor and peers would definitely notice a change in Drake. A certain squareness and stability of form, an odd quality among natural shapeshifters. The sudden tract of fertile land that erupted from the edges of the Wyld, and the manse within certainly raised eyebrows, as well as the young warrior's sudden keen interest in the traditions and lore of the Silver Pact. What most had taken as the future poster child for the Swords of Luna now took more than a passing interest into a realm that was typically the domain of the Crossroads. Not that the old mystics complained; having strong able muscle on their side made certain tasks easier for them. But still, something was strange about him. He was free of any taint, and most chalked it up to personal success that he felt no need to share information about. As was his right.

What he had really found was his true calling. What he had seen as blight on his soul, even if a blight that he could use to help others, turned out to be a blessing. The light of the moon in him shone out to Gaia, and she blessed him not just with power and a place to call home, but with a calm reassurance that he was indeed on the path of the righteous. He would guard the earth mother as though she were his own, and serve both his patrons.

Description: Drake's Fangs dresses like most Lunar warriors on the edge of Creation; clothes of animal skins and crude cloth, worn underneath armor. Simple pants and tunic, with a sash over his waist are most of his clothes, aside from his armor. Drake himself is a powerful figure with broad squared shoulders, and a head that hangs forward slightly. His skin is tanned from his time in the wilds, though he keeps his hair relatively short. In his warform, his stature increases immensely, and his scales match the pattern found in his hair. As well, growths along his shoulders, forearms, and head sprout up, resembling stone or rock. These growths are similar to a "crest" found on some saurian animals found throughout the wilds.

Special: I was thinking something along of the lines of "marking" those that have been injured by the weapon, allowing the person to easily track them if they were to survive.

Orb of the Unnoticed Predator
Cost: Manse •••
Element: Lunar
Effect: This flattened sphere is patterned like the skin of a leopard. The stone prevents its bearer from leaving tracks, even in thick mud or fine dust, and eliminates all traces of her scent and the scent of anything she wears or carries. These benefits also extend to any animal she rides and to anyone she carries, but do not extend to any companions moving on their own. If the bearer moves in a slow and stealthy fashion, the stone also mutes any noises she makes and bends shadows to her advantage, increasing the difficulty of all Awareness rolls to notice her presence by 1.

The Crescent Domain of the Past's Heros
Cost: Manse •••
Description: This manse is made of dark blue and silvery stone and metal, and the outside walls are often shifting their position, denying access to the slow or unperceptive. Inside the manse is located a training area for martially inclined characters, but the main feature is the archive. This library is stocked with legends of the heroes of the Primordial War and First Age, and would aid anyone interested in recovering history of past deeds. The manse is very open to the outside environment; animals often make their way inside the manse in search of shelter. The manse itself is located in the southeastern parts of the Scavenger Lands.
Powers: Attunement Recognition (0 points), Basic Senses (0), Cosmetic Displays (0), Comfort Zone (1), Magical Conveniences(2), Minor Tricks and Traps(1), Archive(2)
Conveniences: Sliding panels and mirrors reveal or reflect the moon's light; Doors open when approached; Advanced combat training room; Adaptive combat dummies; self-updating Moonsilver plaque directory to the archive; Archive can automatically duplicate written contents when supplied with paper and ink.
Traps: Sliding floors and walls obstruct entrance and must either be fast enough to dodge them or figure out their pattern; infinitely long hallways leading to the hearthstone chamber; doorways to the chamber too small to fit through unless shapeshifted or very limber.
