Avestan de Norio ist ein Torfstecher in dem Dorf Salma Palustre in den Sikramsümpfen. Er lebt in bescheidenen Verhältnissen - wie schon sein Vater Norio - und hat nur selten Kontakt außerhalb seines sehr begrenzten Milieus.
