How to Edit
(add stuff to familiarize with the basic syntax. very easy)
Editing Guidelines
- Simply click on edit: Each section is accompanied with a corresponding edit link , which you can click to modify the content at any time. Look at the right-hand margin of the page to locate these links. If the particular page doesn't have any sub-sections, or if you can't locate the edit link, you can always scroll to the top of the page and click on the edit tab, as shown in the picture below.
- Incomplete modifications are OK! Don't worry about thinking up a "finished product" before starting to make changes. Just dump whatever information you are able to contribute and let someone else worry about organizing and refining it. That's why it is so useful to have a wiki!
- Be neutral: Try to present the information objectively, regardless of whether you agree or disagree with a certain topic. See the halal meat page for an example.
- Add references: It is always a good idea to mention the source of your information, or the web-address if you know it. In many cases it may be more efficient to point to some website instead of adding the same information to the wiki.
- Miscellaneous: Even if you don't add any information, it may be useful to simply identify what other people should try to add. You can add that on the Feedback, Suggestions and Contributions page, or within the articles themselves.
Where to go from here
Go to the article of your choice and begin making changes, or go ahead and make a new page.
