A side note to this shining new member's registration, Hektick's early days as a part of FLaB began with a shaky start, at first choosing to simply write song verses. However, Hektick ultimately decided to take a stab at text battling, taking a shot at the lower ranks of the now defunct Top Twenty Battle list, although his attempts led to an inauspicious debut into the world of text battling.

However, in spite of his perserverance,  Hektick proved himself a slow learner, his style unappeasing to the voters, fellow newbies and elder members. This inability to grow and adapt as a battler led him to a shockingly terrible record of zero wins and 21 losses. But even in the face of this travesty, Hektick refused to give up, and ultimately recorded his first win against Kwakilla on September 03, 2006.
