HektickMC (registered July 17, 2006) is one of the most dedicated and perservering members in the Freestyle Lyrics and Battle section, despite his lack of success in the field he continues to aspire toward greatness in, text battling. An oft overlooked and underappreciated member, Hektick continues to strive for excellence and respect amongst his fellow FLaB members, a feat he will surely achieve.
Enter Hektick: The Definition of Perserverance
In July of 2006, several new members registered with nobodysmiling.com, most notably TW-1, also known as Snuffleupagus and formerly Texas Truth. A side note to this shining new member's registration, Hektick's early days as a part of FLaB began with a shaky start, at first choosing to simply write song verses. However, Hektick ultimately decided to take a stab at text battling, taking a shot at the lower ranks of the now defunct Top Twenty Battle list, although his attempts led to an inauspicious debut into the world of text battling.
Despite his early losses, Hektick contiuned battling. However, in spite of his perserverance, Hektick proved himself a slow learner, his style unappeasing to the voters, fellow newbies and elder members. This inability to grow and adapt as a battler led him to a shockingly terrible record of zero wins and 21 losses. But even in the face of this travesty, Hektick refused to give up, and ultimately recorded his first win against Kwakilla on September 03, 2006.
Through much hard work and dedication, HektickMC built off of his first victory and continued to add to his win column, eventually taking the bronze trophy, awarded for 10 wins or more. Convinced he could continue to improved, Hektick called out and battled heavyweight members such as In-TiMe, melkymaleek, Nike Laos, Lazarus and Tha Nice One, unafraid of their prowess. Despite his confidence, Hektick lost against all of the aforementioned members. But even in the face of these losses, much experience and respect were gained.
As of late, Hektick has Ranked Up His Record To be awarded The Silver Trophy (20wins) And become a force to reckon with in the lightweight division, having had placed 2nd in the last Lightweight Tournaments, 2nd In The Recent PPV Tournament, second in the last Multi Tournament, A QuarterFinals Spot In The Recent MM Tourney and a finals appearance in the recent Tag Team Tournament, the last of which was scrapped due to rampant no-showing. Seeking to bulk his lackluster record up, Hektick attempted to rack up wins off of no-show victories, but moderator JuliaS denied him the opportunity and his record was lowered from thirty wins to the appropriate amount of 20 wins. More Recent Accomplishments Have Included On Lets Beef . com a Top 16 Rd 3 Spot/75000 in the 2008 annual Text Tourney
Arguably the most dedicated lightweight on NBS, HektickMC is someone to watch in the current Multi Tournament and future Tournament, having successfully changed his image from that of a bumbler to a liked and respected member of FLaB.
