Preheat oven to 400 degres Farenheit.Mix dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Stir in buttermilk and fruits. Turn onto a floured board. Roll until 1/2 inch thick. Cut in to wedges. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes. Cool and enjoy

Scones

1 1/2 cup of flour 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar 1/4 cup of brown sugar 1 teaspoon of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda 3 tablespoons of shortening a pinch of salt 1/2 cup of butermilk*
