Shakrihl Settlers

Shakrihl Populations extent by 500 BCE.

The pre-history of Arëdighùan begins with the settling of the Sliabhaidan emmigrating from the Sa'alli Empire of Zunia around 1100 BCE. The immigration, which forced the previous Proto-Massian nomads out of Taria lasted roughly from 1100 BCE to 950 BCE . Settling in the rich and fertile plains of Arëdighùan, Aedhael, and Nation 119.

The highlands were eventually settled when overflowing population from the lower regions caused people to spread out. These areas in the central areas of the Skjøt av Gùdene, became home to large agricultural Steppe's, of Rice Paddies, Poulty and Game Farms and innumerable other small villages and farms, these large Steppe's in the sides of the mountains took years, sometimes generations to carve, and many of which still exist today.

There is very little historical imformation available on what life was like for these people, or really how or why they came to Taria from Zunia. As far as Historians can tell, the Shakrihl were begining to make trade contact with the Hungali and Ghinni people's of Naoria, and expanded into Taria as a way to make better easier contact with them, then seeing the vast wealth of Taria, began to settle there.

Collapse and Recovory (600-841 CE)

By 600 CE, the Sa'alli Empire was in ruins, and the few Shakrihl that had escaped Zunia, had fled to deep positions within Taria. By 610 CE, the Sliabhaidan had fled into the mountains of Arëdighùan, and the Aedhaelana had settled in what would be Aedhael.

In the mountains of the Skjøt av Gùdene, the Sliabhaidan population would dwindle over the next 200 hundred years, until it was a shadow of its former self. It is believed that in 600 the population of Arëdighùan was somewhere above 3,000,000, but by the time the Norrics arrived, it was somewhere near 350,000. These numbers would continue to drop as the Norrics encroached on their territory, and they were killed(or in many cases, culturally assimilated) by the Ísealbhordei, Aedhaelana, or the Norrics

Imperial Era

Norric Colonists

In 842 CE, the first Norric Explorer, [????] first stepped onto the land that would be Arëdighùan. Welcomed into this strange land by the Sliabhaidan 'Mountain' people, the Norric People's took an imediate liking to the area. But it was not till nearly thirty years later that wide spread trading with Deirityr began. After a decade of trading and a series of 'expeditions' (Which in all likelyhood, could have been advanced scouting parties for colonisation), Norric Colonisers began moving into the lands that would eventually be called Arëdighùan.

In 900, the Norric Union officially establishes relations with the various Kingdoms and Righdomes. The reasons were stated that they wanted stable relations to protect their colonists along the areas of but in reality, it was an easy excuse to further their control of the island. Using their emssiaries and ambassadors, the Norrics skilfully wove themselves into the Shakrihl Politics, slowly garnering more and more power.

Establishment of the Republic

The republic was established in ????, by the freedom fighters from the War of Liberatoin. By ???? it had established full democracy in most parts of Aredighuan.

Stagnation

Although starting with good intentions the republic was not meant to last, the feelings of freedom and justice were soon replaced with greed, as the people elected one corrupt Governor after another. The nation became a fat bureaucratic entity, the economy stagnated, and the people became dissatisfied with democracy.

A especially harsh winter in 1130, caught the Hinterland off guard, causing widespred starvation and outright famine in many places.
