Germany is a country in the middle of Europe, a little more to the west. People in Germany speak German as their native language. Berlin is the capital.

For years, Germany was ruled by the Soviet Union on the east side, and several countries on the west side. A wall was built to seperate the sides. After the fall of the Soviet Union in 1990, loved ones climbed the fence to meet others on the other side they had not seen from for years.
