a) Click on the article, "Hurricanes vs. Homes: Should Building on U.S. Coasts Be Stopped?" Discuss the article's point of view, and how it pertains to population, environment, and ethics. (10 points)

This article discusses the risks and costs of living on the coast. The article discusses two points of view: The right to live wherever we want and the cost and danger of living on the coast and why it should stop.

This pretains to population because there are masses of people moving to the coasts each year and there are tons who live there right now. Every year during hurricane season every person risks their lives and property. The environment destroys people and buildings that just get rebuilt every year.

The question is: is it financialy and morally ethical to make those who don't live on the coasts pay for houses and belongings year after year of those who do live on the coast? I do not agree with rebuilding on the coasts. If you cannot afford living on the coast with rebuilds and losing belongings then don't live there. Easy at that. Don't make those

b) Click on the article, "China Makes Stable Energy Supplies Top Priority for Economic Planning" Discuss the article's point of view, and how it pertains to population, environment, and ethics. (10 points)

China's economy is booming and is going to continue to do so. This article discusses China's plan to research new technology for energy and also making their current power sources more efficiant and less pollutant.

Their poplulation is booming exponentially and their current situation on fuel and energy sources need to be changed. They need to research and devolop new technology to sustain their booming population.

From reading this article I became suprised by China's stance and understanding of sustaining the environment. Hopefully they will keep this view on funding new researched and partnering with other countries for progress in this field.

Ethically China is taking a big step. They are atleast pretending to care for the environment. Which is a nice step in the least. If they keep on this path then hopefully some of the other countries around the world will follow in step and actully help out our invironemnt.
