Question One

a) The issue here is the argument of smart growth over sprawl. Sprawl is when communities grow without planning and often are harmful not only to the environment, but it is also straining on the people living within the communities. More people means more pollution. Also, the more sprawling in one area, the more limited housing becomes forcing people to live in non-efficient housing.

b) If sprawling were happening in my community, West Frankfort, I dont know exactly how that would affect us. There are already too many housing facilities that arent nearly sufficient for the families that live in them. The only thing we could do were to build more housing complexes. However, this would take a lot of money and also would result in cutting down more trees to do so.

Question Two

a) The positives of the Natural Area's Program will protect species that are rarely found anywhere else on the planet. This plan will hopefully restore and preserve the indigenous habitat and species in San Francisco.

b) One of the problems of the plan is that they are trying to please everyone. It is nearly impossible to protect nature AND provide a recreational area for the people to enjoy. Peer reviewers also say that the plan should provide
