From a news article: An ecological footprint is described as a calculation stating the amount of land or water needed to produce the resources that each person or group uses.

News article: States basically that renewable resources are resources that can be reused. Such as, 'electricity that is either partially or fully generated from solar, wind, biomass, geothermal or other forms'.
