• June 25, 2007. Two engagement announcements, one old and one new. Melissa Benton is engaged to Dennis O'Brien. Just this past weekend, Tim Patchin became engaged to Erica Buie. Congratulations!
• April 7, 2007. Welcome a new Elia! Anna Rose Bartel was born to Diane and Mark Bartel on April 7, 2007 at 8:10 pm. Anna was 7 lbs. at birth.
• February 20, 2007. An overdue announcement: Alexandra Rose Elia was born to Anthony and Melanie Elia on January 21, 2007. She was 6 lbs., 11 oz. Congratulations!
• February 3, 2007. Welcome a new Elia: Elizabeth Lucille St. John was born to Rebecca and Kevin St. John at 11:47 am this morning in Madison, Wisconsin. The family is doing great!

Did You Know?

Including the deceased and those married into the Elia family, there are, by my count, 74 Elias who share their birthday with at least one other Elia. Some cheated, like Nicholas and Kristina Murray, the only two twins born in the last 100 years of Elias and the only two Elias born on the same day and year. (But Christine Barnes promises twins on the way.) Only two dates on the calendar - February 1 and November 1 claim 3 Elia births. But the champion day is September 9, the only day to see 4 Elias born: Rose Natoli Elia, Theresa Genchur, Steven St. John, and David J. Patchin. A very good day indeed.
