On March 25, 1977, at 2:36 p.m., Susan Elaine "popped up like a piece of toast" and announced her arrival to her happy parents Roger and Debra Dorward. Susan, and later Christine, lived with thier parents on 2 acres just outside the city of Norwich. Susan enjoyed spending her weekends visting her grandparents, Ralph and Marie Barbarossa, and reading.

While in 1st grade Susan befriended another girl, who was taking dance lessons. Susan, using her charm and big brown eyes, convinced her parents to let her take lessons as well. And so started out a long 'career' in dance, for the next 10+ years Susan enjoyed taking acrobatics, jazz, lyrical and tap dance classes.

Besides dancing, Susan spent her formative years concentrating on her academics and becoming a 'nice person', winning several awards for good citizenship.
