Kevin St. John was born in Albany, New York, on November 13, 1974. Early residences included brief stints in New Jersey and Northern Virginia, before moving to Minnesota, where Kevin attended Elementary School. Kevin's early interests included sports, math, and playing with neighborhood kids. A move to Tallahassee in 1984 introduced Kevin to new interests. The climate caused his introduction to Golf, his age caused his introduction to girls and music, and location caused his interest in college football. Florida highlights included much success in sports and academics. In 8th grade, Kevin's All-Star baseball team made it to state, and Kevin won a trip to Washington D.C. to represent the state of Florida at the National Geography Bee. Moreover, Kevin enjoyed success in other brainy (Mathcounts and Brain Bowl) and brawny activities (okay, so getting down to a 14 handicap isn't exactly brawny). After attending his brother Steven's high school alma mater for a semester in 9th Grade, the St. John's moved to Madison, WI, where Kevin would finish High School.

In Madison, Kevin flourished. He made many good friends, many of which he keeps in touch with today. He played guitar in a Rock 'n' Roll band, fulfilling every young man's fantasy to make hundreds (well, maybe a hundred) teenage girls squeal with Rock 'n' Roll excitement. The band -- the Purple Mushroom Band -- was actually pretty good, distinguishing it from 99% of other high school bands. Its talent was well-recognized, and the band won the Dane County Battle of the Bands, enabling it to record and release its CD, Serendipity.

The rest of High School was typical. Kevin spent more time with his friends than at home, but his Parents always found time for him. He held a part time job throughout the final two year of High School at Scott's Pastry Shoppe. In Wisconsin, Kevin picked up new hobbies, such as fishing and lounging. Kevin capped off his High School career by speaking at his high school graduation, giving a speech written while, appropriately enough, fishing and lounging.

Kevin stayed in Madison for College and attended the University of Wisconsin. He remembers these years fondly. While at UW, Kevin recaptured an interest in academics. He made several more good friends, played in a new band (The Ten Pound Court), and well, had many good college experiences -- details not forthcoming.

While at College, Kevin developed an interest in law, which he pursued. He attended the University of Chicago Law School and received his J.D. in June of 2000. Chicago became Kevin's favorite city -- indeed, he declares that "Chicago is the best city in the world." Law School was intellectually challenging, and Kevin really enjoyed his first year there. By the time his third year came around, Kevin was ready to graduate. And graduate he did.

After a taking the Virginia Bar Exam (and passing), Kevin and his girlfriend Miss Rebecca Rapp traveled to Europe for a month or so, enjoying each other's company before moving to D.C. to start their new jobs. Kevin worked as an attorney for Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, a California-based Law Firm. The career working highlight came early for Kevin, as his Law Firm had the opportunity to represent the President in two cases before the United States Supreme Court related to the 2000 Election. Kevin continued to work on matters that received a fair bit of play in the national media related to administrative law, as well as working in more typical commercial litigation.

In 2004, Kevin and Rebecca moved to Madison, WI, to get back to the midwest, closer to Rebecca's family, and farther from the rat race. In May of 2005, they had a son, Benjamin James.
