Welcome to the Elia Family Project. In conjunction with the Elia Family Reunion of 2001, which was a great success, the Elia Family Project is a website designed to help keep the Elia family as tightly knit as it was when Maria and Nicola first immigrated to the United States from Sicily. The website, like the reunions, celebrates the 8 families descended from Maria and Nicola.

This site is ever-growing. Any information or images you can supply would be greatly appreciated. (Here's what you need to know about contributing).

Family Announcements

Here you can see the five most-recently posted announcements as well as notice of any recent additions or alterations to the Elia Family web site. A complete list of archived announcements is also available. If you would like to add an announcement (including information about upcoming reunions, weddings, births, and the health of our family members), contribute a biography, or suggest changes to the site, please send all entries to the webmaster at sstjohn@rollins.edu.

October 6, 2006. The editthis.info version of the Elia Family Project was begun. I have recently become enamored with the free online encyclopedia Wikipedia, which allows readers to easily update and edit its information. At the same time, I've been trying to find a way to make the Elia site easier to manage, and to allow other family members to contribute. Free Wikipedia-like websites, such as this one, are available, and would seem to be perfectly configured for our family biographies.
