A curious piece of punctuation that stands for a particular three letter word. It is the subject of much debate among linguistic scholars, as no other similar symbols exists for other 3 letter words; in addition, ampersands are a mortal enemy of %, $, and @, as those also stand for words, albeit not 3 letter ones.
