Raid Group Setup
From Ecodex
Raid Group Setups
MT Group. Easiest group to put together.
Zerker vs. Guard
Either can fill the roll as MT equally. But they have their
perks. For example, Zerker does poorly vs Vilucidae's final
stance while Guardians do poorly against multi-mob encounters.
Dirge Warden Defiler Templar Coercer / Assassin Use either of the two based on your needs. More hate,
Assassin. More power, Coercer.
This group setup gives the most benefit possible. With master
buffs and decent legendary gear the MT could be sitting at 12k
health with 75% mit.
Mage Group
A lot of people don't like to run these types of groups,
however to obtain 20k dps it's necessary to set a group up in
this fashion.
Troubadour Inquisitor Wizard Warlock Necromancer Conj
A lot of people will argue that a Fury is better than an Inq
in the mage group since the fury can buff 2 mage's int.
However that is a false statement.
How this works - Fight starts. Troub uses Jester's Cap on the
Inq. Inq uses Divine Recovery. Troub uses Precision of the
Maestro. With 10 seconds left in PotM, Troub uses Jester's on
himself. Eighty seconds will pass and PotM will be back up.
Troub uses PotM. Three minutes and thirty seconds arrives and
the process starts all over again.
If the MT isn't prepared or skilled enough to handle this, the
mage group will kill itself within 30 seconds of the fight.
MA group
This is built for dps as well as being able to hold 1 or 2
mobs so the MT isn't facing the full force of the encounter.
Unless told otherwise, the dps should be targeting the MA.
Zerker or Guard (either will do) Inquis > templar Mystic > defiler Dirge Monk or bruiser Illusionist / assassin / brigand / swash
The inq can better increase the group's dps while the mystic
is capable of using the stun ward without it endangering the
raid.
Scout group
Much like the mage group
Dirge Mystic / Defiler Illusionist assassin / ranger brigand / swash
This isn't the only way to set up the groups. However when the
opportunity to form even one of these groups appears, it's a
foolish raid leader who ignores the opportunity.
