Dr. Fuhrman's program for Nutritional Excellence

Dr. Joel Fuhrman is a family physician specializing in health and disease prevention through nutritional excellence. The core concept behind his recommendations is to maximize the nutrients per calorie consumed. This means a diet of the most nutrient-dense foods: predominantly vegetables, fruits, beans, nuts, and seeds. Many Americans may consider this a radical way of eating. But those who follow his dietary advice point out that the modern American diet is a radical departure from healthful eating.
