Welcome to Jack Phoenix.com, Jack Phoenix's Wiki and a host for small wikiprojects!
This is Jack Phoenix's personal wiki and blog for CSS and MediaWiki tricks, extensions and all other random things. We also host some small wikis on this domain.
Everyone is free to create accounts on this wiki; you need a valid email address to edit pages. We're sorry about this, but it's a measure done to prevent vandalism.
Vandalism will not be tolerated and if you vandalize, you will be blocked without warnings.

A: There's no way to do that really...though it helps a lot if you leave a messge to Jack Phoenix's Central Wikia talkpage with your Wikia account.

A: This is FAQ, frequently asked questions...so you probably don't. But you can ask Jack Phoenix or another admin if they can help you.
Q: HELP! I cannot edit pages! What do I need to do in order to be able to edit?
A: In order to be able to edit, you need to set a valid e-mail address in your user preferences. You will receive a confirmation e-mail to the address you set. It contains a link. When you click on that link, your e-mail address will be confirmed and you'll be able to edit pages.
Q: Ok, but why the above? Aren't wikis supposed to be freely editable?
A: Indeed. However, e-mail confirmation is a relatively simple way of reducing vandalism, but still allowing legitimate users to register and edit pages.

A: We have quite a lot of wikis - see Category:Wikis for the list.
Q: What are the users show on Special:Listusers/staff on every Jack Phoenix.com wiki?
A: Users with the staff privilege are Jack Phoenix.com staff members. They're just volunteers wanting to help with the wikis, that's all.
