Upgrade an Elemental Dirk

Summary
There are three blacksmiths (one for each island) that will upgrade an elemental weapon to a Plus weapon such as a Dark Dirk 3. Find a blacksmith either at the +2 dealer in Arakas, at Anrak's house in Raven's Dust, or at Roen Greenleaf's house in Stoneheim. To make any Plus weapon you must have the next lowest version of the weapon, some gold, and an Ingot.
Getting the Ingots
Undead Sentinels drop the ingots now as well, but there is still a quest. The Gramites and Talinites are dropped in abundance, but the Luminites are not a common drop. Go to Thieves Town in Arakas and find an NPC named Eraleth near the entrance. She offers you the Ingots in return for similar items that used to be given to Tapio for the upgraded weapons. Here is what to give her for an Ingot. Gramite Ingot 2 iron keys, 1 ring of light, 1 ring of confidence, 2 decaying batwings Talimite Ingot 4 iron keys, 3 rings of light, 2 rings of confidence, 2 kraanian eggs, 1 goblin leather armor, 1 wasp wax Luminite Ingot 6 iron keys, 6 rings of light, 4 rings of confidence, 2 goblin leather armor, 1 goblin blade, 2 kraanian eggs Total items needed for a +3 dirk from start if using Ingot Quest. 12 iron keys, 10 rings of light, 7 rings of confidence, 2 batwings, 4 kraanian eggs, 3 goblin armor, 1 wasp wax, 1 goblin blade, 27k gold
Go to a Blacksmith
You can ask one if he will upgrade a certain weapon for you. For instance if you want to make a Light Dirk +3 ask him about "Light Dirk +2" and he will tell you what ingot to bring him and what gold. Say "give Fire Dirk +2" to make the +3 version. Your original dirk has a chance of breaking when upgrading, so if this happens you will be out of luck and need to get a new dirk and a new ingot and upgrade it over again. If this happens, the blacksmith only returns to you half the gold that you gave.. Here is what they ask.
