- | Due to the complexity and depth of E20, we can't have every newcomer to the NS forums joining our group. Therefore, most applicants must have at least 100 posts in the forums, and after these posts have been reviewed, judgment is passed. However, this rule has been bent in the past, and might be in the future.

- | The Twentieth Century was an exciting century, to say the least, and although our history will eventually be radically different than that of our world, knowledge of how our current world was shaped is incredibly helpful when it comes to RPing in E20. Now, you don't need to know every obscure fact about every country, but the solid understanding is a must. Now, if you know a bunch of obscure facts about an unclaimed country, then all the better!

- | The importance of this rule cannot be stressed enough. If you are looking into joining E20, you must understand this rule. Although as of the date of this articles writing (In game year 1918) history isn't enormously different, it is still nothing like our worlds 1918, and as time progresses, we will be departing further and further from our time line. Therefore, it is critical that every newcomer look over what has happened in E20 before their arrival, in order for them to be contributing members of the group.

- | While E20 is a fairly democratic RP, there are those who are more equal than others. These are the Mods. Mods are tasked with the running of the RP, be it the military aspect, the diplomatic aspect, the social aspect, etc. In almost all cases, when a Mod says something, that is the way it shall be. In the few cases where it isn't so, the ruling was either overturned by public outcry, or by the Head Moderator (Galveston Bay).

As with any group of people, society, cult, and/or religion, E20 is ruled by laws/rules. Some of the rules exist for game-mechanics purposes. Others exist to make sure that E20 isn't full of drug-addicts and 10 year-olds who just discovered the "internets". These rules are enforced by the Moderators and Galveston Bay.
CXZLAH I think this is a real great blog article.Really looking forward to read more. Keep writing.
Economic rules
Main page: Economic rules
E20 uses a set of complicated rules to simulate government spending and economics. "Builds" (spending schedules) are submitted yearly (usually once per week). As the game has evolved, the economic rules have changed frequently and become more complicated.
