DRAW Your Own Story VIII was taillesskangaru's ill-fated attempt to resurrect the tradition after DYOS 7's crash and burn. The focus of the story concerned computers spontaneously exploding when users attempted to log in to the Civilization Fanatics' Center. While a plot developed concerning Thunderfall and Lefty Scaevola designing "superbots" (a reference to the ill-fated CFC news bot experiment), the thread was closed due to infighting amongst some of the contributors.
