Politics
former republic, now ruled by archadian consul and subsequently, the archadian empire.
resistance movement- very violent, guerrilla warfare, trying to oust archadians by any means necessary.
Economy
small, yet solid. lots of agricultural exports and a few local specialty trade goods.
Education
basic education given to children, learning to read write, do basic sums, then all education is professional. children usually go into family businesses, such as farming, smithing or tailoring.
decently educated, but the country produces few scholars and the magically talented generally become white mages only.
Hierarchy & Values
merit-based. class, occupation and wealth are not a big deal. honor, however, is, as well as standing within the community. men are generally seen as superior to women, but landisians don't come close to rozarrians in terms of misogyny.
Gender & Sexuality
prudish and easily embarrassed. missionary style is the only way to go. homosexuality seen as unnatural, no little kinderlings to raise. :(
Stereotypes
simple, oafish, dogs of the empire, honorable and generally good-natured.
