Hunter/Gathering
From Dofus
Gathering information for hunter.
Contents |
General
Hunting is a unique profession. Instead of utilizing resource spawns on maps, a hunter with a hunting tool equipped (and high enough profession level) will unlock extra meat drops from certain monsters.
There are two main downsides: You do not gain any profession experience from gathering the meat (although you do gain class experience), and the hunting tool takes up the weapon slot of your equipment.
Details
Experience
You only get experience from preserving the meat. See Hunter/Recipes.
Gathering time
You get the meat when the monsters die, just like regular drops.
Amounts
The meat gain is determined just like a regular drop.
Locations
The meat follows the monsters, so go to wherever the monster you want to hunt hangs out. See also hunting location.
Hunting preservatives
Unlike most other professions, hunters can hunt all the items needed for their crafting. However, as the hunting itself doesn't give experience, it is far more common to buy from NPCs.

- Seth Sourcet at Astrub (1,-16)
