When you defeat the scarecrow, it drops one bag of the grain you were farming when it attacked you. The bag contains 50 of the grain.
Hints
If you are a member, a good idea is to get lots of flour (mostly wheat flour) and set up shop in the bakers workshop. F2P (free to play) will buy a lot of wheat flour for under 15k (15 kamas), so sell them for 10 or 15k. A F2P player can just go to the sellroom and say they are selling it for 10 or 15k
If you have a lot of kamas, a quick way to level up as a farmer, is to buy cereals at a farmers' sellroom and then grind it to certain types of flour at a workshop. Especially Peasant Flour and Wheatmeal give much experience (50xp and 100xp each crafting). You can also buy only the cereals you cannot harvest yourself, such as rye, which is needed for both Peasant Flour and Wheatmeal, but can be harvested only at level 50 and higher.
There are 2 main ways of levelling farming:
Gathering, where you just continuously gather whatever gives the most exp and sell the cereals. The major benefit is the greater chance of a rare crop, or
Grinding, where you buy rye and gather the rest of the ingredients and grind flour. The faster, but more expensive way of levelling.
