The stories shall have a maximum rating of M, smut is not allowed.

Tips

People have a tendency to create branches where the character dies. To prevent the story from being just a tree with all dead ends:

   * For each page where you kill the character, you must create at least 2 pages (with content) where he can go on.
   * Whenever you fill out the last option's page, add another one so the story can go another way.
   * Please stick to the theme and setting of the story. Although creativity is encouraged, radical plot changes and inconsistencies will ruin the flow.
         o If something is off topic, remove it. 
   * Make a subpage of the original adventure page when adding an option, to save space.

General Tips:

   * Use decent spelling and grammar, such as Capitalisation, Full Stops, Paragraphs and Commas. If this poses a problem, use:
 http://www.spellcheck.net/

Rules & Guidelines

   *You're required to write more than a 20 word entry (not including the options), or the page will be deleted.
   *Try and make your entry descriptive. Think interactive fanfiction: a story with only a few sentences isn't going to be as good as one 
that sets the scene. Reading a brief 'You pick up the book. What do you do?' isn't interesting at all. Describe what the book looks like, or what 
 noise the pages make, and say what the title is. If your entry doesn't do these things, don't be surprised if it's radically edited.

   *Don't add an entry to the story, and then carry on adding without pause from your own post. Once you've added it, wait for someone else to 
carry it on from there.

• Don't vandalize pages to say a message, use the talk or discussion page which can be accessed from the tabs at the top.

Other optional things to do

• Control the rights of anonymous and logged in users through the Control Panel (which can be found in the toolbox on the left side of this page).
• Add the url for your wiki to the Categorized wiki list. Simply edit that page and put your wiki under the appropriate category.
• To increase the amount of space you have for uploads, add links to http://editthis.info from external sites, and go to the Link Quota Page to increase your uploads quota.
• Edit MediaWiki:Sidebar to change the navigation menu
• Add this wiki to some external wiki indexes:

1. Wikipedia list of wikis
2. WikiIndex
   

• If you are feeling adventurous and know a little about web design you can edit the javascript and css to the Header to change the look of your wiki.
  • You must log as admin to do this
  • Whatever you enter in this page will be added to the html in the header after the standard style sheet, so you can override styles.

• Add your wiki to the map of wikis
• Add a message to the Feedback Page if you see anything that could be improved.
