Variations include "Blah blah blah blah blah" (Wacko McGoose) and "Ima eatin ur bandwidths! Bwah ha ha!" (Unknown, but probably Lord Bowser.). The fad could possibly have prompted the Bandwidth Issues incident.
The phrase has evolved to refer to the act of eating in general, and indeed, many members replace the word "eat" with "nom" when they post. Most often the first N is taken off forming "om nom nom" even more frequently, its shortened to 2 or a single nom
