Appearance

Aubrey is about six feet tall with a toned build. His eyes are a dull grey/blue most commonly described as icy. His hair is shaggy and usually blocks his face. He wears a tight, plain, black t-shirt, a very dark pair of blue jeans, a copper coloured decorative belt, and a sturdy pair of hiking boots. When traveling Aubrey also wears a long cloak with the hood down to shadow his face and carries a seven foot walking stick with a red ribbon tied half a foot from the top.

Personality

Aubrey is a pretty quiet person, he’s not really used to socializing with people, probably partially caused by his six-years away from home. Aubrey is very slow to trust people but has come to be staunchly loyal to those few people. Aubrey likes to take tactical approach to most things, whether it be a Pokemon match or martial arts training. Aubrey thinks things through, or tries to, in order to gain the biggest advantage possible. Aubrey is kind of rough from his time in the wilderness but he still tries to be polite to people. Aubrey is very awkward around cute girls, he just doesn’t know what to say. Occasionally he doesn’t stumble and he amazes himself, which then makes him more nervous in anticipation of his awkwardness. Aubrey enjoys a good challenge, especially a Pokemon match against an opponent more experienced and skilled than himself. Aubrey has a great deal of respect because his years of training have shown him that success, skill and, ultimately, power come from hard work. Even people who Aubrey does not like may have his respect in this aspect.

History

Was born about a day's hike north of Mahogany town but was left in the care of his uncle Thom in Mahogany town because his parents were cartographers and did a lot of world traveling. He did not hear from his parents very often and he came to hate them despite their affirmations that they loved him. His uncle ran a small shop in town and kept Aubrey's cabin well maintained should his parents resettle. Aubrey was given several options for hobbies because his uncle had more than enough money to pay for it. Having no real friends at school because he was small and bullied Aubrey decided to take up martial arts and literature. Aubrey quickly became well-versed in self-defence and learned how to care for his body. Uncle Thom was very caring and supported Aubrey completely but found it difficult to show affection or pass down wisdom. Even so Aubrey came to respect his uncle for all he did for him. One day Aubrey and his uncle learned that his parents had died in a plane crash on their way home. Aubrey's uncle became very mournful and was disappointed in Aubrey when he did not show the same sadness. Aubrey's relationship with his uncle quickly soured over the next few months and ended when Aubrey finally stormed out of the house. Aubrey was thirteen at the time. To stubborn to apologize, Aubrey became a licensed PokeMon trainer and left his hometown behind.

General outline of travels: Travelled to Ecruteak from Mahogany then left for Kanto. Spent a couple of years in Kanto travelling around, Pallet Town and Cinnabar Island were not visited. From there he travelled to Hoenn where he spent just over a year travelling. From there he went to Sinnoh where he spent about a year and a half before returning home in Johto. After testing his might in Pewter City and winning a Boulder Badge Aubrey travelled with confidence to Cerulean where he was unable to win a Cascade Badge over the next few months. After giving up on Cerulean Aubrey got lucky in Celadon and won a Rainbow Badge by using his recently captured Houndour. After travelling to Hoenn Aubrey acquired a Feather Badge. On his way to Mauville City Aubrey met a girl named Michelle around his age who was also a Pokemon trainer. They travelled together into Mauville in hopes of winning a Dynamo Badge but neither was successful. They decided to train their Diglett (Aubrey) and Geodude (Michelle) together until they could win a Dynamo Badge. After their training together they were both able to win a Dynamo Badge. The two trainers then decided to trade the two Pokemon they trained together to symbolize their friendship before they parted ways. Aubrey managed to win the Knuckle Badge before he left for Sinnoh. Once in Sinnoh Aubrey quickly aquired the Mine Badge. After some more travel he gathered the Coal and Cobble Badges. Once back in Johto Aubrey won a Zephyr Badge then decided to head back home. Upon return he was attacked by a raging Gyarados which he battled fiercely and finally captured.
