[edit] Personality
The personality and wit of a rock, he’s really not the epitome of a social butterfly. Silent, a little cold at times, but really he’s a softie underneath it all. Underneath the years of torture and murder and the ridiculous amount of alcohol he has consumed within his short life, yeah, he’s a pretty good guy. His comradery with people like Reno, however, do little to show the squeaky clean and simple man he truly is. A bit of an obsessive compulsive, he strives to keep his image professional yet still keep that mysterious silent-guy coolness he does so well. If something is out of place, he tends to touch at it until it’s perfect in his eyes. Which makes it so that you’ll never see him with a rumpled jacket on or his fly is unzipped. Much to his dismay, he was partnered with a slob, so he’s become far more lenient than he used to be. A quirk of his, besides the obsessive compulsive disorder that makes a tingling feeling in his hand if he can’t right a tipped over hat, is that he tends to braid things. It’s gotten many degrading remarks from his fellow persons, but he thinks nothing of it and calmly punches them in the gut. He does have a very serious nature, although half of the things he does isn’t. He’s loyal, and will get a job done whether it’s a job he knows is wrong or not. He’s also usually a voice of reason in the group of Reno, Elena, and himself. Or, perhaps in his case, the silence of reason.

For now, he likes the ladies, but he’s pretty sure he’ll end up alone and old when he dies.

Born and raised in Midgar, Rude had a fairly easier life than one would expect considering his closeness to Reno. Although he never enjoys letting out information on his past, since it’s only the past (and considering his job), he has let them know he joined the Shinra corps when he was 16. Showing great potential, and nerves of steel, he entered the Turks quickly.

Over time, he has become well-known for fighting with fists rather than guns or other weapons. He also happens to have a pretty good shot, but only when in dire straits.

- Reno: Ever since becoming a Turk, as Reno so wisely puts it, "THEY'RE BFF, YO."
- Elena: Rude finds her to be clumsy and much too talkative, but thinks she's easy to get along with and has much potential as a Turk.
- Tseng: Mr. Turk-Boss Man. Rude regards him with high esteem, although he abhors Tseng's moments of disorganization.
- Rufus: His employer.
