Sadly, there're not many images of Eva, so instead, I give you hotness from one of her icons that she has yet to use, because it's just not appropriate YET.

lMGPhM wow, awesome post.Really looking forward to read more. Cool.

[edit] Current Status

Currently deceased, Eva's what's been termed a "Hunted": a spirit who has been marked by Mundus as a target for vicious, demonic, soul-devouring monsters. The Hunted are permanent prey until they can no longer run, and eventually lose their souls to the Hunters. Hunted are technically immortal, but live on a plane of reality where they still require food and sleep in order to maintain strength. (The strength allows them to run, and allows them to materialize enough for food; or so they say.)

Being guided around by the Hunters, much like a cow could be, Eva has ended up in the basement of the Entertainment Gallery's theater, where she's known to be placed by Sparda, Dante, Vergil, and Kurosaki Isshin, alongside his son, Ichigo.

She has some precarious contact with Arkham, and, while details are unknown, it's pretty clear that it hasn't been good, at all.

[edit] History

Born at the very end of the 1700s, Eva started off as the youngest daughter of a humble farmer and his wife. However, after an attack from a wraith that was placed in their home for reasons never clarified for the five year old girl, Eva and her mother, Gabrielle, were left alone. News of the attack, however, had reached the local Catholic Church, who, though a dying power by that time in Britian, was still a leader when it came to paranormal dealings. They dispatched one of their top demon hunters to investigate the matter (another curious incident, to Eva in later days, considering a Protestant farmer and his family should have meant nothing to them). The man, a noble by the name of Thomas Winsor, who would become rather enchanted by the widowed woman and her daughter, and end up asking for Gabrielle's hand in what seemed, truly, to be something like a fairy tale come true.

The circumstances leading up to it happen to be unknown, but in Eva's teen years (and, for the times, that was considered the age of a lady), Eva would follow in her beloved Step-Father's footsteps, becoming a demon hunter under the shadows of the Catholic Church. Through the Church, Eva became very well-traveled, and well-equipped for battle, far beyond many of the great hunters that the Bishops would boast about when she first was brought under their employ.

Rough times at the hands of the Church came to Eva, shortly after her meeting, and befriending the man who would become her future husband, Sparda. Her orders were to rid of him, and though she fought to keep her punishments concealed from him, and her family, for time and again disobeying and failing to obey orders, life continued to grow more and more miserable and chaotic for her. The Church's prior threats and punishments, which had worked so thoroughly to keep her harnessed, stopped as Eva began to grow more and more of a backbone (no doubt due to Sparda's encouragement).

The final straw, which led to Eva's complete severance from the Church, came when she returned from an Opera with another hunter (independant, no affiliations) to find her mother and step-father slaughtered, and a note detailing why (a note she held onto until her final days).

After her swearing herself, sometime later, to Sparda, she would give birth at the age of nineteen to two identical twin sons named Dante and Vergil, whom she would end up dying for: protecting one, and attempting to avenge the other's death. (The boys were six by that time, and Sparda, for reasons unknown, had not been around for some time, and Eva had ended up dismissing the help she'd been left with due to matters of distrust and betrayal. She took up caretaking of the house, and tutoring the boys, until that night.)

[edit] Weapons

What's a demon hunter, or even former demon hunter, without his or her weapons?

Firstly, Eva is a competant melee fighter, if only seen in her build alone. She is a bit more muscular, when in top health, than her demonic doppleganger, Trish. Because of her build, it allows for Eva to do a lot of double wielding, even, at times, working with the swords of her husband. Granted, Eva can't lift anything remotely close to the swords that are the size of Dante's Rebellion, but she can heft a man's longsword effectively enough. (Granted, it's a bit of a pain, since she has to brace it on her shoulder until she's in a position for attack. It has its ups, as much as it has its downs, and she has scars to prove it.)

Eva's fighting style can most appropriately be associated with that of her son's, Dante's. She prefers brutal, aggressive attacks over agile, tactical approaches, as Vergil is known to be prone towards, which is why Eva has no problem hefting large weapons. The kill overrides the tact, for her; victory over honor.

Likewise, Eva holds no animosity towards the skill of projectiles. From revolvers to rifles, to even crossbows and the like, Eva won't hesitate to use them to win a fight, and she happens to be one hell of a shot. Nothing compared to Sparda or Dante, but she prides herself in her shooting ratio.

[edit] Network Access

During one of her moments of being quasi-solid, Eva was able to "mug" Sparda of his PDA, allowing her, on the rarest occassions that she can wholly solidify, to speak to people on the network of Desai. She can be found at Recondite Night
