Personality
To put it simply, this Turk is arrogant, cocky, and quick-tempered. Though these traits may have caused problems and inconveniences in the past, he just can't seem to lose them. With Rude around, though, Reno is less prone to hazardous situations caused by his acting-before-thinking attitude. In a way, Reno is 'complete' with Rude, because of their partnership. Rarely are they seen apart, if they can help it.
When it comes to work, he's a devoted employee. Albeit somewhat lazy at times, he takes pride in working for President Shinra and Tseng, whom he strives to please and protect. On the job, Reno's mischievous yet playful side peeks out, along with various new creations, devices, and weapons him and his partner conjure up from Shinra's technology.
'Tidy' isn't in Reno's vocabulary, either. Not only are the toys he builds wild and unorganized, his appearance alone isn't that impressive - untucked shirt, no tie, messy hair, and two red marks tattooed on his cheekbones. The goggles on his forehead don't exactly fit into the 'professional' classification either. But as long as the job gets done, and in style, his looks aren't his top priority.
Sexual Preference
Reno swings more towards the ladies. However, he is not responsible for who is hit on while he is drunk. Even if he is, it's not like he's going to remember. Though, on rare occasions, he's caught himself watching Rufus more than he should. Like he'll explode or something. Yes.
Background
Before the Turks, life for Reno was wasted drinking and doing who knows what in the slums of Midgar. One pastime of his, drunk or sober, was dishing it out with other residents and even Shinra soldiers that caused a ruckus from time to time. Amidst one of his frequent brawls, Reno found himself surrounded, and soon captured. From there he was taken to the Shinra Headquarters to be interrogated by none other than Rufus' right hand man, Tseng. After learning of Reno's actions in the slums and realizing his potential in a career, Tseng offered Reno two choices: put his skills to use with the Shinra company, or be locked up in a holding cell to spend the rest of what life he had. Naturally, after having the everloving shit beat out of him, Reno took the first option.
And so, Reno became one of the newest members of the Turks. His partner in crime was designated to be Rude, who soon became a good friend of Reno's, not to mention one of the very few who learned to understand and accept the redhead's behaviour - his behaviour being that of a slacker, yet an expertise at the job. The latter was more than likely the only reason Tseng allowed him to remain a Turk, not to mention the 'liveliness' Reno brought into the group.
Reno's first major operation was to apprehend the last remaining Cetra, Aerith Gainsborough, but was met by a somewhat difficult obstacle: AVALANCHE. After a one-on-three battle, Reno was down for the count, during which time Elena became an official Turk. A short time later, AVALANCHE and the Turks combined forces to each rescue a kidnapped companion. It seems this event had somewhat dissolved a large portion of the rivalry between the two groups.
After the events caused by the Meteor and Sephiroth, Reno and his partner continued with simple tasks assigned to them, until once again their skills and proficiency were needed to retrieve the remains of JENOVA for Shinra. Reno's loyalty and respect for the President still grows as he fights against the battle of Geostigma.
Weapons
The E-Mag. Also known as electromagnetic rod. His first weapon since joining the Turks, and he finds it difficult to leave behind whenever he travels.. anywhere, really. It's complete with the ability to retract into tRaVeL sIzE, plenty of voltage for hours of electrocuting fun, and its own set of dinner plates with matching cutlery. He's dubbed it 'Testicle Taser', after Evening asked for something to roast Ichigo with.
Since the mun felt Reno needed another weapon, he's got himself a handy Desert Eagle 50AE Magnum, which he uses only when a) Rufus needs better back-up than just a close range metal stick; b) big, crowded events that could put Rufus in some form of danger (which probably is the same as a); and c) Reno decides Tseng someone needs a good pistol-whipping.
