Edgar Chin is a recent addition to the Wei Society apartment complex, a 17 year old boy having moved in with his little sister and grandmother.

Hao first met Edgar in a dream given to him by his ancestors, where Edgar was in a mini-mart and suddenly pulled a gun to rob the place. Unable to prevent the robbery, Hao caused the gun to backfire, the blast taking out the boy's eye and awakening him. Edgar began down a life of crime and infernalism, becoming a major gang leader and spreading strife and fear to feed his masters'. Hao was confronted with his creation and the two fought and the battle ultimately brought about the epiphany that Hao had been unforgiving to those around him. With his sudden insight in his life, he woke from the dream, realizing his own biases were holding him back and causing problems in his life.

Edgar was seen by Hao again shortly after awakening, the boy looked troubled and was heading towards the car of some gang members from the dream. Hao caught the boy and started talking with him, causing the car to drive off. Edgar was pretty annoyed, and ultimately ranted enough for Hao to catch on that the boy needed money desperately to help his little sister with a medical condition. The boy lived with his sister and grandmother in a small closet of an apartment, that apparently was infested with mildew and causing her health problems. After taking his sister to the Apothecary, Edgar and his family moved into the Wei Society complex paying rent by becoming Hao's new janitor.
