The Godai Centre of Research and Development, also known as the GCRD or the Complex, is a large arcology where the more scientific minded create, craft, and learn. Also an accredited institute of technology, many of the scientists that develop double as teachers in a highly personal small group setting. The GCRD is responsible for the creation of the force field generators, maintenance and backward engineering on the Clayborne industries vehicles, and such things as the Queen's battle bikini and the Civic Voltron Force. The current Department Head manages the entire Complex, with Saito Kenji being the mastermind behind several of the anime inspired inventions, such as the queen's battle armour.
