Russia (Russian: Росси́я), also the Holy Russian Empire (Святейший Российскаяа империя), is a transcontinental country extending over much of northern Eurasia (Asia and Europe). With an area of 17,075,400 km², Russia is by far the largest country in the world, and has significant mineral and energy resources. Russia has the world's ninth-largest population. Russia shares land borders with the following countries (counter-clockwise from northwest to southeast): Callisdrun, Kyrusia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia, and North Korea. It is also close to the United States (Alaska) and Japan across relatively small stretches of water (the Bering Strait and La Pérouse Strait, respectively).

Formerly the Russian Empire, a puppet state of Kyrusia, Russia became the Holy Russian Empire following the Holy Russian Revolution of 2007. Since the revolution, the newly-independent Holy Russian Empire is gradually re-emerging as a great power and is also considered to be an energy superpower. It is also a recognized nuclear weapons state and possesses one of the world's largest stockpile of weapons of mass destruction. Russia is a member of the International Treaty Organization, as well as other international organizations.
