Dæmon

Dæmon in this page refers to non-His Dark Materials dæmons. If you want His Dark Materials dæmons, go to Daemon (His Dark Materials).

Dæmons are incorporeal and seen as the 'soul' of their human. Dæmons take the form of a animal, either real (sometimes with changes such as in color) or fictional (mostly mythic forms such as dragons). Most consider it impossible for dæmons to settle as humans and anime forms. Settling normally occurs later than in His Dark Materials.
