Eternity Café is a small local eatery in Cross, NY, popularized by students and faculty of the nearby Cross University. It was founded by the owner and current manager, Shido Tatsuhiko, in the fall of 2005, with the intention of providing a place for its patrons to eat and relax. The café is also known to be a gathering place for events such as birthdays, wedding showers, and other celebrations.

The menu of the café is usual of a delicatessen, with a wild assortment of refreshments. However, there seems to be no strict menu planning, for food choices are based partly on the skills of the employees. One might expect sandwiches one day and Asian cuisine the next, the set-up similar to the cafeteria the café has made defunct.

Employees of the café are generally made up from students from the University itself; with the close walking distance and flexible scheduling hours, it’s no wonder that a high percentage of Cross’ 17 to 25 population have or do work at the café. However, if there are no available employees, patrons can employ the the services of RoboWaiter (TM), a robotic waiter able to cater to orders.

Some important/interesting events in Eternity Café’s history are:

Fall 2005 – Due to certain events, the café rules were reinforced against no alcohol, no firearms, no fighting, and no sexual acts/public indecency. The café loses much evening business to a nearby bar, The Devil’s Nest.

Fall/December 2005 – An unexplained fire (suspected to be arson) greatly damages the café, forcing it to close for repairs. Police have yet to find a suspect, though an anonymous person posing as an ‘evil muffin’ wrote letters admitting to act.

Spring 2006 – Assistant Manager, Soubi Agatsuma, discovers a ceiling fan jammed into the slot of a toaster with no logical explanation. Since then, rumors of flying toasters in the café have arose, with believers claiming blurred flying shapes on the surveillance film as evidence. However, skeptics believe its just dust getting too close to the camera.
