Turn your Jeep around and drive back the way you came

From Create Your Own Story

You don't feel like getting into a battle, especially one where both sides have likely committed war crimes. You turn the Jeep around and start driving back west.

You know you shouldn't keep going this way for too long. You're just driving deeper back into Syria. At the next intersection, you swing onto a road heading north. Perhaps you can either find another road going parallel to the highway east towards Iraq, or simply go north to Turkey.

A few miles later, the paved road turns into a rough dirt road. Your Jeep has four-wheel drive, but it's still a very bumpy ride. The road meanders on and on until abruptly leading you into a dry desert wash, with no sign of the road continuing. Irritated, you turn the vehicle around with a curse, not being as careful as you should have been.

The Jeep rams straight into a large rock. Black smoke begins pouring from the engine. This vehicle's not going anywhere.

Cursing again, but louder this time, you begin walking. You know you've driven far into the desert and won't have enough water to last you until the main road. Your only hope is if another car comes this way.

After three days of walking, completely alone, you pitch over into the dirt from dehydration and exhaustion. You see shapes and figures swimming in your blurred vision. Getting up, you begin running, shouting incoherently.

By the time a vehicle drives by, you have lost your sanity. The driver takes you to a police station. You are declared insane and spend the rest of your life in a Syrian mental asylum. Crayon drawing time and ice cream night become the biggest highlights of your days.
