"Anyway," the otter says in his squeaky voice, "I was hoping you were a nice guy because I need a big favor."

"Does it have to do with why you're so nervous?" you ask.

He looks over his shoulder again, then nods. "Yeah. You see, here in The Zoo, the big, strong animals make the small, weak, helpless ones into their slaves. Some of the slaves don't mind. They have nice Masters looking out for them. And some of us don't. Some of us get treated like garbage, like punching bags and whores, beaten and raped just for amusement."

• "What does this have to do with me?"
• "When you say some of us, you really mean you, right?"
