Take cover in the hills where the vehicle can't follow

From Create Your Own Story

You need to put as much distance as you can between yourself and the surviving men in the village before they become aware of your escape. You move out into the dry Syrian badlands, scrambling over the rough and rugged terrain. At least the Jeep can't follow you here. Any pursuing soldiers will have to come on foot.

After about an hour, you pause for a quick break. Although you've heard no sounds of pursuit...yet, your escape has surely been discovered by now, and there's really no way the soldiers are going to forget about you and let you go after you've killed their comrades.

The sun is sinking lower in the west. You know you can find your way at night by the stars. The question is, which way to go? Anything to the south and west runs the risk of bumping into the angry, pursuing soldiers from the village. You know you can't go back. North and east are both ISIS-controlled territory. The distance to friendly territory is shorter to the north, but the fighting is less heavy in the east.
