Sighing to yourself, you decide to be a good girl and oblige your father's request to dress properly for the occasion. His request to not reveal yourself as a capable warrior while keeping an eye on this Ruairi makes sense and you have no real reason to cling to your armor now. Though your achievements during the war are quite famous, most men still tend to doubt your capabilities until they've seen you in action.

After taking off your armor and stowing it away in your luggage, you find a good spot to keep your katana out of sight yet close at hand. Then you browse trough your wardrobe and settle for an elegant black dress. It's the most feminine thing in your wardrobe, though plain compared to some of the court ladies' dresses. It has a simple grace that accentuates your natural beauty without adding too many useless trinkets.

The dress has only a few silver accessories, meaning it won't make too much noise when moving around. The material is rather light and leaves enough room to quickly move your arms and legs without stumbling over your attire, there aren't too many loose ends that could get caught somewhere either. Perfect! It even has a secret pocket that you use to store a small dagger. Giving your new 'battle clothes' a final inspection you don the intricate silver necklace the jeweler gifted you earlier, completing your look. Done dressing up, you leave the room to rejoin your escort, drawing a number of surprised glances from the people used to seeing you in armor.

Duran's smirk as he sees your new attire makes you want to throw him after the burned letter. "I take it that letter of yer father's had some secret fashion advice in it?" he chuckles at you smugly. You brush back your hair in a teasing motion and use your most feminine, seductive voice to say "Meddlesome bastard ain't he?" Which causes Duran to double over in laughter. Xavier, still standing to the side can't suppress a chuckle either.
