Keller. You're surprised that she's a redhead on the tall side (5'8"), since you know that both of her parents are brunettes. Oh, well - you're still annoyed. It's a little hot outside, so you find it strange that she's wearing a huge, dark sweater that covers her all the way to the tops of her thighs. She's got a nice set of legs. She hugs your wife and looks at you briefly before letting her gaze fall back to the floor. Nice pink lips too. You glance at your wife and she nods to her daughter. You hold out your hand to the girl.
"Hi, Keller."
She barely shakes it with hers and then you're helping her move in. Great.
Something is up with your new stepdaughter. She always wears clothes at least three sizes too big for her, and they're always dark. She also barely says a peep, and when she does talk, it's mumbles all around. You ask your wife what's going on and she just flushes and says it's personal.
"Keller's always been a shy girl."
Whatever. After a while, you just try to avoid her and not let her weirdness bother you too much. Then one early afternoon, you wake up.
