You take a deep breath, close your eyes, and force your body downwards, underneath the water.

CRACK!

Your head strikes a rock, rendering you unconscious instantly.

You come slowly back to your senses. You're lying on something hard. It feels like stone.

A tall figure is looming over you with a machete in his hands. You open your mouth to scream. A gloved hand comes off the machete and covers your mouth.

"That won't be necessary. Or useful."

You stare at the machete and let out a whimper.

"I'll make it easy on you."

With one quick, sudden blow, your head is severed from the rest of your body. The police officer who stumbles across your corpse two days later is horrified by the things the killer has done to your torso, after decapitating you.
