You order jamming devices released into the sea floor. You can only hope they can work and distract the sonar acquisitions of the torpedoes. The two torpedoes are a formidable task. Your sonar operator does have experience and can deal with the best of them.
One torpedo is already lost and successfully jammed. The other torpedo is still approaching and also hit the ocean floor but not without causing a disruption in the Red October. It takes a while to settle things down but the ship has suffered only minor damage from the nearby torpedo.
